Wanna Job?

I was cruising around the internet and found out that the NYPD is now hiring. So, if you're looking for a job go here. Police work can at times be a very unrewarding job, and it's not for everyone. If you think you've got what it takes, give it a shot!

Some quick info:

With base salary, average overtime and night shift differential, holiday pay, and uniform allowance, a Police Officer earns over $44,000, on average, in the first year and over $70,000, on average, after five years. There is additional longevity pay every five years up to twenty years of service.

1 in 6 uniformed members of the NYPD are Detectives. A Detective’s (3rd Grade) average earning is $88,000* (Promotion to Detective is not based on a promotional exam, it’s based on merit)
1 in 7 uniformed members of the NYPD are Sergeants. A Sergeant’s average earning is $91,000*
1 in 20 uniformed members of the NYPD are Lieutenants. A Lieutenant’s average earning is $105,000*

And probably the most important benefit: You do not have to live in NYC to work for them.
