Stand Your Ground

Stand Your Ground, that's the name of the lastest bill to come out of Florida's Legislature. You may have read about it, or heard someone whining about it on tv. In a nutshell, it's a bill that will allow people in Florida to defend themselves with lethal force if they are put in a life threatening situation.

Critics are claiming that Florida will be turned into the wild west, with racially motivated killings and it'll promote deadly escalations of arguements. Some people just don't get it I guess. The whole point of the bill is to prevent violent arguements. How many people will you go off on, in a road-raged fit, if you know they might shoot you if they feel threatened? The people that are aggressively violent are already shooting people and threatening other people's lives... they are not waiting for a bill to legalize it. This bill was introduced to help protect you against these sort of people.
