I've heard this one before.

Emperor Benedict XVI told some German pilgrims today that he "prayed to God that he wouldn't be elected Pope".

Sure buddy, I've heard that one before, and it went something like this: "Once this threat has been abated, I will lay down these special powers granted to me". Does anyone out there actually believe he didn't want to be elected? If he didn't want the job, why didn't he resign once the vote was completed, thus giving the Cardinals time to select another candidate?
